Job Summary

Amentum is seeking a Cook II located in the Williamsburg area of Virginia.

About the Role

The Cook assists in preparing food for the day, whether breakfast, lunch, or dinner. They are responsible for preparing quality food and pleasing presentations, and meeting food handling and quality assurance standards. They provide the highest level of service in support of the company's mission, core values, standards, and goals.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and interact with guests in a genuinely warm and friendly manner
  • Prepares all food items as directed
  • Washes dishes, glassware, and silverware
  • Washes pots, pans, and trays
  • Maintains a clean and organized pantry and coolers
  • Cleans countertops and walls, mops floors
  • Segregates and removes trash and garbage and places it in designated containers
  • Regularly empties garbage containers
  • Rinses out and washes garbage cans
  • Sorts bottles, plastics, and other recyclable items
  • Stacks clean dishes and transfers equipment to the proper storage area
  • Communicates the need for goods to be ordered to kitchen leadership
  • Follows all specifications and properly sets up hot and cold line stations
  • Communicates all guest requests to an appropriate leader in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintains a thorough knowledge of menu items
  • Maintains a neat and organized work area adhering to sanitation standards according to state law and health codes
  • Maintains neat, clean, and professional appearance according to standards
  • Complies with all company safety and security policies and procedures
  • Reports accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions
  • Attends all training and meetings as directed
  • Performs other tasks, including cross-training as directed
  • All other duties as assigned, planned or un-planned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Drivers License
  • US Citizen
  • Culinary degree or related training equivalent in the Hospitality/Restaurant Industry
  • 1 year of relevant work experience in similar scope and title
  • Experience within luxury brand/markets - preferred
  • Works well as a member of a group
  • Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well

Qualifications

  • Must have valid government issued clearance at the time of application
