Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and finish foods on all stations within the kitchen
- Maintain quality standards and cleanliness of work areas and equipment
- Operate kitchen equipment in compliance with health and food safety regulations
- Assist Chef de Partie and Chef as needed in production
- Label and date all products for safekeeping and sanitation
- Apply adept knife skills for preparation
- Breakdown work station and complete closing duties including organizing storage areas, cleaning, and wrapping items
- Maintain accurate inventories and inform management of restocking needs
- Notify chef on duty if unable to complete tasks within time limits
Qualifications
- 3 years culinary experience in a similar role, preferably in a high volume, luxury hotel/restaurant setting
- Extensive sanitation and culinary knowledge
- Accurate knife skills
- Ability to work in an organized fashion and within a team environment
- Ability to work under pressure and make logical decisions
- Prioritize tasks and follow through to meet deadlines
- Valid health card and any required licenses or active work cards
