Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare and finish foods on all stations within the kitchen
  • Maintain quality standards and cleanliness of work areas and equipment
  • Operate kitchen equipment in compliance with health and food safety regulations
  • Assist Chef de Partie and Chef as needed in production
  • Label and date all products for safekeeping and sanitation
  • Apply adept knife skills for preparation
  • Breakdown work station and complete closing duties including organizing storage areas, cleaning, and wrapping items
  • Maintain accurate inventories and inform management of restocking needs
  • Notify chef on duty if unable to complete tasks within time limits

Qualifications

  • 3 years culinary experience in a similar role, preferably in a high volume, luxury hotel/restaurant setting
  • Extensive sanitation and culinary knowledge
  • Accurate knife skills
  • Ability to work in an organized fashion and within a team environment
  • Ability to work under pressure and make logical decisions
  • Prioritize tasks and follow through to meet deadlines
  • Valid health card and any required licenses or active work cards
