About the role

MTC operates the Hawaii Job Corps Center in Waimanalo, HI, where staff provide quality services to local youth. The position supports food services operations and contributes to improving people’s lives.

Responsibilities

• Replenish essential items in the food services and dining areas.
• Assist with stocking food and beverage items and set up cafeteria lines.
• May be responsible for serving meals.
• Assist in storage and inventory of supplies; transfer food ingredients for meal preparation.
• Clean food service area, tables, and kitchen equipment and appliances as required.
• Assist in preparation of foods; weigh, measure, and mix ingredients.
• Prepare vegetables, salads, meats, breads, and desserts as instructed or routinely set forth in an appetizing and appealing manner.
• Assist with washing dishes/utensils and store in orderly fashion.
• Assist with service area daily tasks, including keeping refrigerators, floors, and food carts clean.
• Promote and support positive customer service.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One (1) year of experience.
• Valid food handler's permit.
• Valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.

Pay

$17.77 per hour.

Schedule

Varies; full‑time, 8‑hour shifts.
