About the role

Fuel the Day is a mission-driven organization dedicated to providing high-quality child development services. We are currently seeking a Cook to join our team at Miami Valley Child Development Centers (MVCDC).

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare nutritious, balanced meals in compliance with Head Start, USDA, and ODJFS guidelines.
• Maintain the highest standards of food safety and sanitation.
• Manage food inventory and maintain accurate documentation.
• Create a welcoming, well-organized kitchen environment to ensure children are well-fed and ready to learn.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a similar role preferred.
• Valid Florida Food Handlers Card.

• Strong organizational skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to follow health and safety regulations.
