About the role
The Cook is responsible for safe, sanitary food preparation for patients and staff at Stonington Institute. The position is a full-time, 35 hours per week position.
Responsibilities
- Prepare meals for patients and staff in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure all food is prepared according to safety and sanitation regulations.
- Work closely with other cooks and the supervisor to maintain smooth dietary operations.
- Interact with patients and staff in a pleasant and professional manner.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, education in food services preferred.
- CT Food Manager Certification required or received within 120 days of hire.
- Knowledge of kitchen work.
- Ability to interact with staff, patients, and co-workers in a positive manner.
- Knowledge of safety & sanitary regulations, or ability to learn them.
