Cook - FT - Senior Living Community

We are seeking a dedicated Cook to join our team at a large senior living community in Kent, WA. Stellar Senior Living is a premier assisted‑living and memory‑care provider in the Western United States, founded in 2012 and continuously expanding.

About the role

The cook prepares high‑quality, attractive, and nutritious meals in accordance with food health and safety regulations and company standards. The position requires quick, diligent work, the ability to follow instructions, and the capacity to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining a well‑organized and efficient food service department.
• Demonstrate a complete understanding of basic food production skill sets, performing tasks error‑free and meeting company quality standards.
• Prepare and serve attractive, nutritious meals in an organized manner.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one (1) year experience in a similar position.
• Experience and/or knowledge of special diets and meal preparation for large groups preferred.
• Safe food handling techniques are required.
• Ability to read and understand recipes.
• Ability to work in a team environment and handle flexible shifts.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and communicate effectively, verbally and/or in writing.

Pay

Competitive salary: $18.00 – $22.50 per hour, dependent on experience.

Schedule

Flexible shifts; ability to work varied hours as needed.
