About the role
The Charlotte Hall Drug & Alcohol Residential Treatment Center has served local communities for more than 40 years, providing treatment through structured programs for detox, residential care, medication-assisted treatment, and family education for both men and women. We are seeking a Cook to join our team in supporting our clients with the preparation and serving of high-quality food in a timely, efficient, sanitary, and consistent manner; operating and cleaning kitchen equipment; and maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the kitchen and service areas.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and serve food in accordance with established policies and procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe environment in the kitchen at all times.
- Comply with food safety standards and guidelines during all phases of food handling.
- Complete all required documentation, including but not limited to food and equipment temperature logs.
- Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and equipment, and return them to proper storage areas as requested.
- Assist in assuring the proper receiving, rotating, and storage of food and supplies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
- Previous food service experience preferred.
- ServSafe Certification preferred.
Due to the nature of healthcare work and our commitment to ensuring client safety, candidates selected for hire must successfully pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and any required state-mandated clearances. Employment is contingent upon meeting all screening requirements in accordance with federal, state, and accrediting-body regulations. This is not a remote position; the position requires onsite work.
Schedule
6 AM to 7 PM, Sunday through Saturday
Pay
Hourly Rate: $16/hour
