Role and Responsibilities
- Consistently monitors the temperatures of hot and cold foods according to food safety standards and documents results.
- Completes appropriate forms such as food temperature logs, sanitizer concentration logs and food waste logs.
- Prepares breakfast, lunch and dinner daily in accordance with menu, recipes, allergies and dietary restrictions of individuals.
- Cleans storage, food preparation and serving areas to maintain sanitary conditions.
- Washes and dries dishes, takes out trash and broken-down boxes, cleans dining area and stocks items in serving areas as needed.
- Performs routine deep clean of kitchen area including sweeping/mopping kitchen floor, cleaning inside and out of reach-ins, cleaning steam table, fryolator, etc.
- Affords assistance in guaranteeing a high level of health and safety, cleanliness and food preparation that ensures safe working practices are followed.
- Maintains professional boundaries with clients and interacts with them in an appropriate manner.
- Assists with any other related tasks that are assigned.
Qualifications And Education Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior kitchen/restaurant experience preferred.
- ServSafe certified a plus.
- Must pass criminal background check.
- Health, food and sanitation knowledge.
- Ability to work independently with little to no assistance.
- Excellent organization and prioritization skills.
