Cook /Food Aide Support – On Call

About the role

The Cook/Food Aide Support position is an on-call role at Variable customary hours, generally up to six hours per shift, as needed. The position does not guarantee hours.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and dietary guidelines
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas
• Follow food safety protocols
• Support the Dietary team in ensuring meal preparation meets nutritional standards

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in food service or related field preferred
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately

Qualifications

• Valid Food Handlers Card
• Willingness to work flexible hours and occasional evenings and weekends

Skills

• Knowledge of basic cooking techniques
• Ability to read and understand recipes
• Attention to detail and accuracy in following instructions
