Cook, Child Care Center

Bring your cooking talents and kitchen management skills to Children's Corner, managed by Bright Horizons in Greensboro, NC. Work cooperatively with a second Cook to plan menus, prepare meals, and order inventory for approximately 250 children.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare nutritionally balanced meals for children and staff
• Keep an accurate inventory of supplies and place orders as needed
• Manage all aspects of prepping, preparing, cleaning, and complying with sanitation requirements

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age with a high school degree or GED
• Relevant experience working in a licensed child care center, public school, or commercial kitchen
• Food service/food handler permit or license according to state/local regulations (or a plan to complete those requirements with support of the center)
• Must pass required state and company background checks
• Must meet state and company minimum education and experience requirements

Physical Requirements

This position requires compliance with all applicable federal, state, local, Bright Horizons’, and client site requirements concerning immunizations, employment physical/screening, and health and safety training. The role involves working in person at an early education/preschool child care center to provide supervision, care, and services per Bright Horizons’ policies and procedures. Pay

The hourly pay rate for this position starts between $16.00 and $21.00 per hour.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, approximately 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
