About the Role
The Cook position is an integral component of PATH Interim Housing, The Cook helps create a welcoming, homelike environment and nutritious meals for our guests. They work alongside a team of kitchen and case management staff to ensure that all PATH Interim Housing guests receive three meals each day and snacks/refreshments throughout the day as needed.
Position Responsibilities
- Provide all guests with a home-like environment for the duration of their stay in PATH Interim Housing.
- Promote and follow interim housing established values, guidelines, and rules.
- Aid all volunteers by providing all necessary supports to ensure that they have a valuable experience.

Preferred Qualifications
- One (1) year of experience in a paid culinary setting
Minimum Qualifications
- Current Food Handling Certificate or ability to obtain Food Handling Certificate
Mandatory Requirements
- Have employment eligibility verification
- Be able and willing to obtain CPR/First Aid training
- Successfully complete the following as a condition of hire:
- Tuberculosis Test
- Background Screening
- Drug Test
Driving
Driving is an essential function of this position. To meet the employment requirements for this role, all candidates must:
- Have reliable transportation
- Have a valid driver’s license
- Have proof of insurance and ownership for personal vehicles used during work duties
- The ability to qualify for PATH's insurance coverage

While some roles may include a schedule that involves multiple designated worksites or approved off-site locations (e.g., hybrid schedules), this does not imply that work will be performed from home. Many positions are fully on-site with no off-site work.
