About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Chef to join our Kitchen Team at Crossley House Care Home. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for cooking and fresh ingredients, along with previous experience working in a fresh food kitchen and relevant hygiene certificates.

Responsibilities

• Create varied and nutritional menus in line with dietary needs and preferences of our residents
• Put forward ideas to deliver an excellent dining experience, helping our residents to feel at home
• Train and manage the kitchen team in prepping, cooking, and serving of food
• Adhere to COSHH and HACCP guidelines, company policies and procedures, budgets, manage orders and deliveries
• Cater for special events or seasonal activities, such as summer fetes, Christmas parties and birthdays (as required)

Qualifications

• A passion for cooking
• Previous experience working in a fresh food kitchen
• Relevant hygiene certificates
