Cook

Schedule: Full Time, every other weekend to include holidays as scheduled.

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour.

About the role

Work closely with the Executive Chef to provide residents with a high level of customer service while promoting a restaurant-style dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and cooks meals according to established recipes and approved menus.
• Complies with quality and consistency of the food to include food temperatures, portion control, palatability, and attractiveness of food.
• Performs defined work routines using various dietary utensils, supplies, and equipment as assigned by supervisor.
• Assists in the cleaning of the kitchen equipment, food storage area, and supply areas according to the community schedule.
• Removes garbage from the kitchen and cleans trash containers.
• Assists in receiving and storing food and supplies.
• Works with residents and families to develop and implement strategies that promote person-centered care.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
• Must be willing to assist at another community for coverage or help during an emergency; travel will be reimbursed.

Requirements

• Successful completion of ServSafe certification course preferred.
• Minimum of three years' experience as a Cook in a food service environment required.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Must be detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities.
