Responsibilities
- Plan menu and order groceries.
- Prepare and cook meals 3 days per week, including a light breakfast (e.g. coffee, yogurt, pastries, fruit) and lunch only for approximately 15-25 people.
- Set up and arrange tables for meals.
- Clean up the program area as directed.
- Maintain records of meal plans and consumption.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Knowledge of special diet food preparation.
- Knowledge of kitchen safety, sanitation, and maintenance practices.
- Basic cooking and food handling skills.
- Basic math skills (measuring, portioning, inventory).
- Experience in preparing and cooking meals for groups.
- Able to read and communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
- Able to develop and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, program directors and employees.
- High School graduate or GED.
- Possess a driver’s license and own a vehicle to travel to the grocery store.
Pay
$20/hour.
Schedule
Part-time, up to 20 hours per week.
