Cook

This is a full-time, benefit-eligible position in a collaborative and educational environment, providing customer service and related activities in campus dining operations.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and non-routine food preparation activities including cook-to-order and specialty foods.
• Trains and guides student workers.
• Greets customers, answers questions, and provides information regarding food preparation and associated activities.
• Cleans, inspects, and maintains kitchen equipment and work areas.
• Adheres to federal, state, campus, and local food safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Adapts quickly and effectively to daily changes in business needs including increased and decreased guest count, menu substitutions, staffing needs, and customer requests.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of prior food service experience.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings, nights, and weekends.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Pay

Starting wage: $19.00 per hour.
