What To Expect In This Role

As a Cook at Saint Mary Home, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality meals to our residents. Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing food in accordance with federal, state, and local guidelines, as well as our established policies and procedures.
• Following dietary guidelines and procedures to accommodate residents' nutritional needs.
• Preparing specialized textures, including purees, mechanical soft, and other modified diets as needed.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and food service area.
• Sure proper care and use of kitchen supplies and equipment.

What You Bring

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in large-scale cooking preferred.
• Knowledge of dietary procedures, food safety regulations, and modified texture diets.
• Previous experience in long-term care or working with the geriatric population is a plus.
• A strong attention to detail and ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
