Position Responsibilities
- Prepare, season, and cook dishes such as soups, meats, vegetables, and desserts according to recipes, personal judgement and experience.
- Act as substitute cashier, including ringing up food orders, securing cash drawer, and completing a cash report at end of shift.
- Wash dishes, pots, pans.
- Trash removal.
- Keep assigned work area(s) and equipment clean and sanitized.
- Practice safe food handling, including frequent handwashing, in order to minimize the possibility of food-borne illnesses.
- Put delivery stock in proper storage location in a timely manner on delivery days.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Essential Skills And Experience
- Must be committed to maintaining food and beverage knowledge and quality service.
- Cooking and production experience preferred.
- Must observe local, state and federal health and sanitation laws.
- Must be able to speak, read, and understand basic cooking directions.
- Must be able to use basic math, including but not limited to: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Physical Demands And Work Environment
- While performing duties of job, employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
- Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
