About the role

SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital-Oklahoma City, a joint venture with Select Medical, is seeking a Cook to join their team. This position requires one (1) year of professional from-scratch cooking experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare foods for patients, staff, and guests.
• Absentee of the Manager, supervise the dietary staff, ensuring adherence to departmental policies and procedures.
• Maintain proper sanitation, safety, and infection control policies.
• Clean and maintain equipment to meet department standards.
• Maintain high standards of quality food production and portion control.
• Identify and solve problems proactively.
• Take initiative to improve processes and outcomes.

Requirements

• One (1) year of professional cooking experience required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Culinary Arts degree preferred.
• Completion of state or local food safety training course preferred.
• Healthcare experience preferred.
