Responsibilities
- Report to and follows directions from Dietary Manager.
- Maintain accurate food counts.
- Prepares meals following Facility Recipes.
- Rotates stock items as per procedures.
- Ensures that the food prep area and kitchen are cleaned and sanitized at the end of your shift.
- Properly stores food items at appropriate temperatures and by following food, health, and safety procedures.
- Prepares items to be used for next day’s meals.
- Restocks kitchen for subsequent shifts.
Requirements
- The ability to read and follow standardized recipes.
- A high school education or equivalent.
- Ability to read, write, and speak in English effectively to use recipes, prepare meals, and communicate effectively.
- Three years of food service experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Serv-Safe Certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of proper food handling procedures.
