Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of food
  • Maintain food quality, temperature and flavor
  • Monitor food production for yield and cost control
  • Practice and enforce sanitation policies
  • Keep production and temperature records updated
  • Report any issues to the Manager on duty
  • Ensure refrigerators and freezers are clean and organized

Qualifications

  • Equal to completion of four years of high school or the equivalent required
  • Judgment and planning skills required for food preparation
  • Two years experience in institutional food services, including institutional food service equipment required
  • Must be able to pass Southcoast's written culinary exam
  • Serv Safe Certification Required within 60 days of hire
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID-19 virus or be exempt for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying exemption once hired

Pay

Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience. Pay Range: USD $17.28 - USD $26.99 /Hr.
