Cook Pay: $18.00/hour Employment Type: Hourly Company: Sofive Soccer Centers (Chicago) About The Role Sofive is looking for a reliable and team-oriented Cook to support the food and beverage operation at our soccer facility. The Cook is responsible for preparing food consistently, maintaining strong kitchen standards, and helping ensure an efficient experience for players, families, guests, and staff. This role works closely with facility leadership and the broader food and beverage team during daily operations, leagues, tournaments, parties, and events. What you'll do Food Preparation & Service Prepare and cook menu items according to Sofive standardsMaintain consistency in food quality, portioning, preparation, and presentationSupport efficient service during both regular operations and high-volume periods Kitchen Operations Complete opening, service, and closing responsibilitiesMaintain clean and organized preparation areas, equipment, and storage spacesEnsure the kitchen remains stocked and ready for daily service Food Safety & Compliance Follow all food safety, sanitation, storage, and temperature-control requirementsMaintain a clean and safe working environmentFollow all applicable health and safety standards Inventory & Product Control Properly receive, store, label, and rotate food productsSupport portion control and waste reductionCommunicate inventory shortages or operational needs to management Team Support Work closely with the food and beverage and facility teamsSupport leagues, tournaments, events, and other high-volume facility programmingMaintain a professional and positive approach with guests and team members Qualifications Previous kitchen, restaurant, hospitality, or food-service experience preferredStrong attention to food quality, cleanliness, and organizationAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentReliable, punctual, and comfortable working as part of a teamAbility to follow recipes, procedures, and food-safety standardsAvailability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as neededAbility to stand for extended periods and lift or move food products and suppliesFood Handler or applicable food-safety certification preferred, or willingness to obtain one
