About the role
Rome Health is seeking experienced cooks to join our Food and Nutrition team. Our cooks are responsible for preparing patient, resident and employee meals and must be knowledgeable in food preparation techniques, including the ability to read, write and adjust recipes.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patient, resident and employee meals according to recipes and food preparation techniques.
- Maintain health standards and ensure regulatory guidelines through knowledge in food safety and sanitation.
- Multi-task and ensure cooking activities are carried out effectively, promoting a positive work environment.
Requirements
- Culinary training or two years experience as an institutional cook.
- Food Service Sanitation and Safety Certification preferred.
Schedule
The kitchen is open from 5:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with shifts varying based upon position. Weekends and holidays are required. This is a Per Diem Position.
