About the role
As a cook, you will prepare and serve meals, oversee the foodservice operation, and ensure adequate food and supplies are available.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve food to residents within the scheduled timeframe
- Follow the menu cycle, noting changes or substitutions on the proper form
- Clean and maintain a neat, safe working environment, including the kitchen and food service areas
- Comply with state sanitation codes
- Maintain inventory control, place food orders, verify that items are received appropriately, and restock as needed
- Ensure that resident food preferences are known and followed
Requirements
- Obtain a Food Handlers card
- Meet all mandatory health requirements by state regulations
- Read, write, speak, and understand English
