Cook Summary
Prepares and handles food by performing the following duties. Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Prepare All Menu Items
- Set up and store stations with all necessary supplies.
- Prepare all necessary ingredients for the designated season daily, following the chefs preparation and torque lists.
Execute Kitchen Orders
- Ensure food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely manner.
- Respond, inform and follow the instructions of the chef or executive.
Collaborate with Kitchen Staff
- Execute all kitchen orders according to recipe specifications.
- Work in collaboration with the rest of the kitchen staff.
Maintain Professionalism
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers and clients.
Safety Regulations
- Comply with safety regulations in the handling of kitchen equipment and utensils.
Serving and Quality Standards
- Follows all serving and quality standards.
Station Maintenance
- Maintain and store daily the designated station, freezers, refrigerators and storage area with food products.
- Follow the proper rotation system and notify the chef of any discrepancies or shortages.
- Label and date all food products in storage and refrigeration areas.
Product Disposal
- Ensure that all products are properly stored or disposed of at the end of the night.
Physical Demands
- Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 75 pounds.
- Regular reporting, walking, reaching with hands and arms, tasting or smelling.
- Bending down, kneeling, crawling, talking or listening.
- Sitting, climbing or maintaining balance.
