Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum one year of cooking experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or long-term care setting preferred.
- Ability to read recipes and follow technical procedures.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to prepare meals for special dietary needs.
- ServSafe Certification required (or ability to obtain and maintain).
- Experience with PCC dietary software is preferred.
- Must remain in good standing with the California Department of Public Health.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently stand and walk throughout the shift.
- Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
- Frequently push, pull, reach, bend, and perform kitchen-related tasks.
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced food service environment.
