PURPOSE
The Cook reports directly to the Food and Beverage Director.
Cook Preparation and Food Service
- Prepares and serves meals in a timely manner
- Adheres to posted menus and approved Phoenix standardized recipes
- Prepares food items as directed
- Handles special dietary needs and texture modified food
- Maintains sanitary conditions and follows regulatory procedures
- Monitors food quality and temperature
- Operates dish machines and cleans dishes, utensils, and cookware
- Records equipment, refrigeration, and food temperatures
- Manages kitchen inventory and rotates products
- Records food production quantities and taste evaluations
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED required
- Culinary apprenticeship or training preferred
- One (1) year job-related experience in food preparation
- Maintains a current SERV Safe certificate or participates in training to become certified
