Snacks and Special Events
Prepare and serve snacks and assist in preparing food for special events or parties.
Inventory and Ordering
- Assist with taking inventory of food and kitchen supplies, and recommend proper quantities and items based on resident demand and dietary needs.
Cleaning and Maintenance
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and dining area, following established cleaning procedures and sanitation guidelines.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, stoves, refrigerators, and dishwashers.
- Properly dispose of food waste and other materials in accordance with established policies.
Documentation
- Complete necessary paperwork, such as food logs, temperature checks, and inventory records.
Other Responsibilities
- Follow Instructions: Adhere to instructions from the head chef or dietary manager.
- Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff and healthcare professionals to ensure efficient and effective service.
- Resident Interaction: Interact with residents in a respectful and courteous manner, and be attentive to their needs and preferences.
- Health and Safety: Adhere to all health and safety regulations and procedures.
