What You’ll Do
- Open and close the kitchen as required, ensuring all operations run smoothly.
- Maintain a well-organized and efficient kitchen environment.
- Prepare and present breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks daily, ensuring high-quality standards.
- Create and present food for parent weekends and other special events as directed by the Chef de Cuisine.
- Execute menus generated by the Chef de Cuisine, adhering to all recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Adjust meal preparations based on communicated dietary restrictions and preferences of clients.
- Provide healthful, nutritious, and organic meals and snacks, as directed, to support the well-being of our clients.
- Ensure overall kitchen cleanliness, including regular cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, ovens, floors, and dishes after each meal and food preparation.
- Adhere to state health and hygiene requirements, as well as Newport Healthcare standards.
- Engage positively with parents and other guests, building appropriate rapport with clients to enhance their dining experience and foster positive associations with mealtimes.
- Participate in baking or cooking groups as directed, contributing to team collaboration and skill development.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- A High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- One - three years of applicable experience required.
- A State Food Safety Certification preferred.
Pay & Benefits
Compensation for this role ranges from $18-23 per hour depending on education and experience. We are committed to providing competitive and equitable compensation. An individual’s pay rate within the posted range is determined by several factors, including skills, experience, education, and market conditions. Additionally, we consider internal equity to ensure fairness within our organization.
