We are looking for an experienced Cook to join our NYPD team! You will be working in a fast paced environment with a team that feels like family. If you are passionate about creating exceptional dining experiences through good, quality food, we want you on our team! With previous experience as a cook, you are able to manage multiple priorities and contribute to a friendly and productive team atmosphere. Responsibilities: Inspect and clean food preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces or serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practicesEnsure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stockEnsure food is stored and cooked at correct temperature by regulating the temperature of ovens, fryers, and stovetopsPrepare and cook food according to recipes Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50+ lbs Ability to work standing for 8+ hours Requires bending, twisting, and repetitive movement Ability to work in hot environments and with hot equipment Qualifications: Previous experience as a restaurant cook preferred ServeSafe or Food Handler’s certification (or must be willing to attain)Effective communication skills Requires work with others in a group or team Benefits: Paid Sick TimeShift mealsHealth insurance after 1 yearJob flexibility Full Time and Part Time positions available.
