Part-time positions available for shifts: 6 a.m.–2 p.m., 2 p.m.–11 p.m., and 7 p.m.–7 a.m.

About the role

As a Prep Cook at Morning Pointe Senior Living, you’ll work with our kitchen team to expertly craft breakfast, lunch, and dinner items. Attention to detail and quality care are important because your meals are something our residents look forward to every day.

Responsibilities

• Treat your team and residents with a genuine sense of kindness and care
• Present yourself in a professional manner with a great attitude
• Use your skills and attention to detail to consistently create delicious meals
• Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
• Follow recipes and presentation specifications
• Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Clean and maintain stations while practicing good safety and sanitation
• Assist with the cleaning and organization of kitchen and equipment
• Restock items as needed throughout the shift
• Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
• Accomplish tasks outside of your scheduled station, including expediting food and assisting in the dish station
• Assist in training opportunities and offer help to other areas and staff in the community

Requirements

• One year of commercial kitchen/cooking experience
• Reliable transportation
• Reading, writing, and basic math and verbal communication skills
• The ability to lift 50 lbs.
• The ability to use kitchen equipment safely
• Able to stand for long periods of time
