A Day in the Life of a Cook

As a Cook, you play a vital role in our community by preparing meals for residents in accordance with regulatory guidelines. Your responsibilities include:

• Ensuring the quality and temperature of food items
• Maintaining safety and sanitary conditions
• Complying with applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations
• Following all company policies and procedures
• Providing excellent customer service and building relationships with residents, their families, visitors, and colleagues

Qualifications

• Ability to perform basic arithmetic, understand measurements, and follow written and oral instructions
• Cook experience preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
• Solid communication skills, attention to detail, and multi-tasking abilities
• Ability to read, write, and speak English sufficient to perform job duties and interact with residents, vendors, and team members
• Experience in a geriatric nursing facility is preferred but not required
• Trustworthy, respectful, dependable, professional, and a team player
• Enjoys serving and caring for seniors and can establish good rapport with others

Schedule

This part-time position works 2:00 pm to 6:30 pm. Weekend availability is required.
