Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Dining Services Manager to handle food ordering, preparation, and delivery
• Ensure food is prepared in a nutritional and appetizing manner
• Maintain kitchen supplies and equipment
• Provide excellent customer service to residents, staff, and external customers
• Maintain kitchen sanitation standards

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Complete state-required training
• Six months’ prior experience in a food service department (preferred)
• Supervisory experience (desirable)
• Obtain a Food Handlers Permit as required by state regulations
• Previous experience working with the elderly (preferred)
• Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly
• Ability to work responsibly as a team member and independently
• Effective communication with residents, families, staff, vendors, and the public
• Meet all health requirements and pass background checks
