Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Dining Services Manager to handle food ordering, preparation, and delivery
• Ensure food is prepared in a nutritional and appetizing manner
• Maintain kitchen supplies and equipment
• Provide excellent customer service to residents, staff, families, vendors, and the public
• Maintain kitchen sanitation and comply with food safety regulations

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Successfully complete state-mandated training
• Six months’ prior experience in a food service department (preferred)
• Supervisory experience (desirable)
• Obtain a Food Handlers Permit as required by state regulations
• Previous experience working with the elderly (preferred)
• Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly
• Ability to work responsibly as a team member and independently
• Strong communication skills
• Must meet all health requirements and pass background checks
