About the role

Lorien Encore is currently seeking a Dietary Cook to join our culinary and nutrition services team. This role is ideal for a dependable, energetic cook who is passionate about food preparation, dietary compliance, and providing high-quality meals in a healthcare or senior living environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals in accordance with dietary requirements, physician orders, and sanitation standards
• Perform batch cooking while maintaining food quality and consistency
• Follow proper food safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures
• Demonstrate proper knife skills and safe equipment use
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant kitchen environment
• Safely lift, push, and pull up to 25-50 pounds as part of daily job responsibilities

Requirements

• Full-time or part-time hours: 6:30 AM - 2:30 PM, every other weekend availability required (Saturday & Sunday)
• Must have a High School diploma or GED, a plus
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Serve Safe Certification, a plus

Qualifications

• Passionate about food preparation and dietary compliance
• Enthusiastic culinary professional who enjoys learning new cooking techniques
• Collaborative and able to create a positive dining experience for residents

• Same-Day Pay for All Employees!
