About the role
We are currently searching for day shift and evening shift Cooks to join our friendly, caring and supportive team at Avantara Watertown. Avantara Watertown is rapidly growing and our team is looking to invest in Cooks by providing opportunities to further your career and with the tools and encouragement you need to succeed.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and ensure residents receive the appropriate food items for each meal in accordance to their dietary needs.
- Ensure the safety of food and equipment by recording temperatures.
- Follow recipes for preparing large volumes of food.
- Provide residents with one of their favorite parts of the day and ensure they receive the high standard of food quality they have grown to expect at Avantara Watertown.
- Ensure residents receive a pleasant and safe dining experience.
Requirements
- A tenth (10th) grade education.
- Prior Skilled Nursing Foodservice experience is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate!
Qualifications
To be eligible for consideration, applicants should meet the requirements listed above.
Skills
The ideal candidate will have:
- Knowledge of kitchen operations and procedures.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to follow recipes and prepare large volumes of food.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
