Pay: $19.25 - $21.75 per hour (three pay levels based on experience)

About the role

Our Cooks prepare meals by cleaning and chopping vegetables, assembling entrees, and operating kitchen equipment such as fryers, grills, and other tools. Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Perform various cooking and food preparation techniques: sanitizing, grilling, broiling, frying, cutting, weighing, measuring, chopping, baking, and sautéing.
• Stock and maintain order in walk-ins, reach-in refrigerators, and dry storage areas.
• Complete daily opening and closing cleaning procedures in the kitchen.
• Provide guest service according to company standards, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions, and giving directions.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in assigned work area; comply with safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions.
• Meet scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods.
• Adhere to attendance requirements and company rules of conduct, including costuming and grooming standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous cook experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow recipes, food preparation instructions, and production guidelines.
• Ability to read, speak, and comprehend English for effective communication.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and peak seasons.

Certifications

• California Food Handlers Card required.
