Pay
The hourly pay range for this position is $25.75 - $27.80 per hour.
Schedule
Work hours are approximately 7:00 am - 7:00 pm, Monday through Friday plus weekends.
About the Role
The Cook will accurately and efficiently fulfill prep lists, tasks, and food preparation for various meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special/catered events.
Responsibilities
- Ensure kitchen organization and cleanliness provides a safe environment for all employees and guests
- Follow Workplace Safety, Food Safety, HACCP, and internal audit guidelines, policies, and SOPs daily
- Clock in and out for workday and breaks
- Provide the highest quality of service in accordance with ISS/Guckenheimer and client standards
- Utilize food preparation procedures in compliance with federal, state, and local guidelines
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of cooking and prep techniques as required by work assignment
- Execute NetMenu recipe preparation of food items as directed by production sheets or leadership
- Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment following ISS/Guckenheimer and regulatory rules
- Notify management of ingredient discrepancies, food/equipment safety issues, or other concerns
- Attend all scheduled meetings
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
- Adhere to Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) policies and procedures
- Safely operate large volume culinary equipment (slicer, mixer, food processors, blenders, chopper)
- Safely operate a mid-sized company delivery van/truck
Requirements
- Minimum of 1-year professional cooking experience or equivalent education
- Work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)
- Reach, bend, stoop, push, and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds
- Utilize team lift, transportation carts, or other assistance for heavy loads
- Work under pressure and time deadlines during peak periods
- Adhere to dress code and come to work properly dressed
