About the role
Bring your culinary skills and join our team, as a Cook, where you can dazzle our guests with your high standards of quality through the presentation, preparation, and cooking abilities. This position may require flexible scheduling availability.
Requirements
- Know local health and safety codes and regulations that apply to the hotel
- Ensuring the kitchen remains well-stocked at all times
- Receiving food and beverage orders as needed
- Following provided brand and IHM recipes when cooking food to serve guests
- Preparing and plating all food items on the menu
- Using hot food preparation machines such as ovens, stoves, and microwaves to cook or heat food
- Cleaning and sanitizing tables, countertops, and floors after each service
Qualifications
- Ability to follow brand and IHM standard operating procedures to prepare food and beverage items
- Highly motivated team player with strong initiative and desire for achievement
- Effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary
- Ability to work well in stressful situations
- Basic knowledge of how to operate all Food and Beverage equipment
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time
- Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
