About the Role
Join the Cafe Back-of-House team at Healthy Living's new store in Clifton Park! We're looking for Cooks to create a wide range of culinary delights, from eclectic to classic options including vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and meat-loving dishes. These items will be featured in our grab-and-go cases, deli case, and hot bar with daily options and soups.
Responsibilities
- Fill out prep list daily, including but not limited to: hummus, pasta salads, bean salads, protein salads, cooking sauces, pastas, beans, and glazes.
- Produce all necessary product in a timely manner.
- Ensure deli case par levels are full before the end of shift.
- Work with packagers to identify what products sell or do not sell.
- Label all finished products with the proper name and PLU number.
- Work hot bar shifts as assigned on the weekly schedule; serve as backup to the hot bar station.
- Follow and comply with established menus, recipes, and Healthy Living brand standards.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of products and share this knowledge with guests and team members.
- Follow and comply with all state and NSF guidelines of sanitation.
- Communicate in a timely manner with supervisor/manager regarding all needs.
- Follow all established procedures to meticulously clean station at the end of the shift.
- Label, date, and rotate all product per department protocol.
- Focus on quality control and order accuracy to provide the best service for guests.
- Assist other areas as assigned by the manager/supervisor.
- Bring ideas and suggestions to manager/supervisor to keep up with trends and innovate café offerings.
- Go the extra mile for customers and maintain high standards of courteous, professional customer service.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of professional kitchen experience.
- Open, weekend, and holiday availability.
Pay
Starting pay ranges from $17.00 to $18.46/hour, with higher starting pay for candidates who bring relevant experience.
Schedule
Full-Time and Part-Time positions available.
