About the role
The Cook will accurately and efficiently fulfill prep lists, tasks, and food preparation for various meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special/catered events.
Responsibilities
- Clock in and out for workday and clock in and out during breaks.
- Provide the highest quality of service in accordance with ISS/Guckenheimer and client standards.
- Utilize food preparation procedures in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local guidelines and regulations.
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of cooking and prep techniques as required by your work assignment.
- Execute NetMenu recipe preparation of food items as directed by production sheets and/or LC, SC, or Executive Chef.
- Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment following ISS/Guckenheimer and government regulatory rules and procedures.
- Notify management of any ingredient discrepancies/availability, food/equipment safety issues, or other situations requiring attention.
- Attend all scheduled meetings.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Adhere to Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) policies and procedures, including safety protocols, environmental responsibility, and quality standards.
- Actively participate in HSEQ training and report any potential hazards or compliance concerns.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1-year professional cooking experience or equivalent education.
- Ability to work safely with large-volume culinary equipment including slicers, large mixers, food processors, blenders, and choppers.
- Work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
- Reach, bend, stoop, push, and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds.
- Utilize team lift, transportation carts, or other assistance for heavy loads.
- Come to work properly dressed according to the dress code.
- Work under pressure and meet time deadlines during peak periods.
- Safely operate a mid-sized company delivery van/truck.
Success Criteria
- Kitchen organization and cleanliness provide a safe environment for all employees and guests.

- Food Safety guidelines, policies, and SOPs are followed daily.
- HACCP guidelines, policies, and SOPs are followed daily.
- All internal audit guidelines, policies, and SOPs are followed daily.
Pay
The hourly pay range for this position is $20.00 – $23.00 per hour.
