Responsibilities
- Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
- Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.)
- Prepare, portion, cook food items for various meal periods or special events
- Able to follow basic recipes and production information
- Absolutely ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served
- Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
- Absolutely ensure all food and other items are stored properly
- Follow all company HACCP and safety policies
Skills And Qualifications
- Proven experience as cook
- Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.)
- Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment
- Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Very good communication skills
Requirements
- Physical requirements of the job: Continuous standing/walking and other means of mobility up to 8 hours a day
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push/pull and frequently lift/move up to 30 pounds

This role supports daily food service and program operations, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for students and staff. The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve breakfast each morning
- Set up and prepare daycare food service
- Make daily soup
- Operate the smoothie bar
- Run “Showtime” (daily action station/food service period)
- Absolutely assist cooks with meal prep as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards
- Absolutely support general kitchen and program operations as assigned
