About the role

Era Living is seeking a full-time Cook to join their Culinary Services team at Aljoya Thornton Place Community in North Seattle, WA. Shifts are available Friday - Tuesday, from 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals according to planned menus and recipes, ensuring memorable dining experiences for residents.
• Establish and maintain portion control procedures and cleanliness standards.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas and properly maintain necessary equipment and supplies.
• Can work alternating shifts for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
• Adhere to strict cleanliness standards and understand proper food storage procedures.
• Must have First Aid and CPR certification or be able to obtain within 30 days of hire, and Food Handler’s Certificate or be able to obtain within 14 days of hire.

Qualifications

Culinary knowledge and ability to perform routine food service functions.

Proven ability to follow recipe preparation instructions and specific culinary procedures.

Ability to distinguish smells, tastes, and temperatures.

Ability to understand proper food storage procedures.

Ability to adhere to strict established cleanliness standards.

Read, write, and communicate in English.

Skills

Knowledge of culinary techniques and procedures.
