About the role

The Cook is a vital team member who will serve as a leader in the kitchen, working closely alongside the dietary director, dietary assistant, dietary aides, and other cooks. This role implements current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing skilled nursing, long-term care, and assisted-living facilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all meals in a timely manner consistent with the posted dining schedule and approved menus.
• Demonstrate strong time management skills.
• Pull and properly store meat.
• Ensure temperature logs and cleaning schedules are completed.
• Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

• Valid Food Handlers Permit (required).
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a Cook or in a similar role (1 year preferred).
• Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility is a plus.
• Ability to commute to Deer Lodge, MT (required).
