We work with teenage girls who are struggling with behavioral, mental, and substance abuse disorders. Through our evidence-based experiential approach, our students and their families start their healing journey. Core Purpose:To provide consistent, nutritious, and thoughtfully prepared meals that support the physical health, emotional stability, and daily structure of residents and staff, contributing to a safe and therapeutic environment at Discovery Ranch South.Key Responsibilities: Prepare and cook daily meals according to planned menus and portion guidelinesEnsure meals meet nutritional requirements and accommodate dietary restrictions and allergiesMaintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, equipment, and food storage areasFollow all food safety, health, and sanitation regulations (including proper food handling and storage)Assist with food prep, inventory control, and proper rotation of suppliesWork collaboratively with kitchen team and communicate effectively with the Nutrition Coordinator and AssistantMaintain a calm, professional demeanor in a therapeutic residential environmentSupport a structured meal schedule aligned with the program’s daily operations In Summary The Cook plays a vital role in supporting the treatment program at Discovery Ranch South by preparing high-quality, well-balanced meals in accordance with established menus, dietary requirements, and food safety standards. This position requires reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work calmly and cooperatively within a residential treatment setting.
