About the role

Responsible for creating a consistent quality product and culinary experience, while also providing exceptional customer service, presentation, and a clean and safe eating environment.

Schedule

Monday - Friday: 3pm - 11pm

Responsibilities

  • Ensure quality food product
  • Oversee that our product tastes, looks, and provides adequate portions
  • Read and follow Company recipes
  • Maintain a clean, well-organized, and sanitary work area
  • Demonstrate good time management to stay on track
  • Adhere to daily menu and prep lists
  • Work independently on assigned station
  • Create value through services
  • Anticipate customers’ needs ahead of time
  • Build rapport with repeat customers
  • Provide a positive experience through engagement and presentation
  • Be an effective communicator
  • Suggestively sell add-ons to orders
  • Demonstrate excellent communication with co-workers and customers
  • Jump in where needed
  • Show eagerness to learn new skills
  • Take direction well and be flexible to change
  • Lead by example with a positive attitude, creating a positive work environment
  • Enjoy being “hands-on” with customers
  • Maintain consistent work and output
  • Handle additional projects and assignments as needed

Requirements

  • Good basic knife skills and production skills
  • Working knowledge of food handling, food sanitation, and safety
  • Good hygiene and hand washing skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work quickly on your feet
  • Strong time management skills
  • Able to multi-task
  • Able to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Understand food labeling, serving temperatures, FIFO, and customer engagement
  • 1–3 years previous cooking experience preferred
  • Proficiency in use of all kitchen equipment
  • Knife handling skills and cooking techniques such as braising, sauté, sear, and grill
  • Proper recipe conversion and measuring
  • Serve Safe and Allergen Certification preferred
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, and weekends
  • In process or completion of culinary education preferred
