Responsibilities
- Prep and prepare meals under the guidance of the Dining Services Director.
- Ensure meals are nutritious, appetizing, and visually appealing.
- Assist in orienting new team members and scheduling.
- Greet elders, families, visitors, and team members, fostering a friendly environment.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of equipment and work areas.
- Adequately follow procedures for infection control and food safety.
Requirements
- Formally trained in culinary arts or equivalent cook experience.
- Willingness to learn and work in a team environment.
- Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Food handlers permit or obtain one as required by state regulations.
- Good verbal communication skills, including the ability to converse with residents and coworkers who primarily speak English.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
