About the role

Calyx Living is actively seeking an energetic Cook for our brand new assisted living community, Calyx Living of Apex, located in beautiful Apex just off I-540 at Hwy 64. The position involves working with a small kitchen crew to prepare and present food that impacts the lives of seniors. The ideal candidate is a self‑starter with past experience cooking and preparing meals in a senior living setting.

Qualifications

• Cooking experience a must
• Must be able to follow recipes and plate food in an attractive manner
• Must be able to understand and comply with state regulations established for food service
• Must be able to prepare, organize and handle minimal special requests of senior residents
• Must be able to interact with residents in a professional and friendly manner
• Must be quick and efficient during peak meal service times
• Must be available to work weekends
