About the role

Calyx Living is seeking an energetic Cook to join our assisted living community in Wakefield, just off Capital Boulevard in North Raleigh. We are hiring now for a Cook position in our bistro, where you will work with a small crew and directly impact the lives of seniors by preparing and presenting food.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present meals in a senior living setting
• Follow recipes and plate food in an attractive manner
• Understand and comply with state regulations for food service
• Prepare, organize, and handle minimal special requests from senior residents
• Interact with residents in a professional and friendly manner
• Work quickly and efficiently during peak meal service times
• Available to work weekends

Qualifications

• Cooking experience is required
