About the role

Calyx Living is seeking an energetic Cook for our brand new assisted living community, Calyx Living of Apex, located in beautiful Apex just off I-540 at Hwy 64. Join a small kitchen crew and make a meaningful impact by preparing and presenting food for seniors.

Responsibilities

• Follow recipes and plate food in an attractive manner
• Understand and comply with state regulations for food service
• Prepare, organize, and handle minimal special requests from senior residents
• Interact with residents in a professional and friendly manner
• Work quickly and efficiently during peak meal service times

Requirements

• Cooking experience (required)
• Experience in a senior living setting (preferred)
• Ability to work weekends
