AVIR Health Group is seeking a qualified, resident- and family-focused Dietary Cook who thrives in a team environment and is excited to help build a positive facility culture.

About the role

Prepare and cook high-quality foods for all regular and modified diets, serving residents, guests, and employees. Ensure all preparation and cooking strictly adheres to State Department of Health Rules and Regulations and established facility standards.

Responsibilities

• Utilize a variety of cooking and food preparation equipment and techniques.
• Prepare simple food regimes and basic modified diets regarding individual resident nutritional needs.
• Adjust recipes to yield the required number of servings if necessary.
• Test recipes and recommend changes in recipes.
• Prepare and cook food in batches, maintaining high quality and appeal.
• Direct activities of one or more workers who assist in preparing and serving meals.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Culinary and/or food service experience in a health care facility preferred.
• Previous Nursing Home experience preferred.
